"No, It's not Mascara": Eyes with Eyelashes with Extentions

Hollywood is "hip" to the latest trends. In the quick second of a blink, you may have missed the latest bit of "hip."  The new a la mode is all about getting eyelash extensions.  Here are some comments: "It really looks better than mascara," "You don't have the clumpy dirty look," and "It looks really fresh."

Since the eyes are the first thing people see, this new Hollywood trend is so common, it has celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow and Lucy Liu batting their "lashes."  Real or unreal?  You be the judge.  Eyes appear bigger, brighter, more accentuated with just the right amount of sexy to bring "sexy back" to the eyes.

Eyelash extensions started in Asia and travelled west.  Traditional fake eyelashes that last a day, applied on a strip, whereas synthetic eyelash extensions are glued to eyelash hairs one by one with tweezers, similar to hair extensions.  A process time of two hours, lasts approximately two months.  Which is more suitable for your needs is the question.  In a celebrity-centric world where we are surrounded by celebrity culture and celebrity-centric magazines, the everyday individual wants to look and feel like they are walking down the red carpet of Hollywood.  And why not when we deserve it!  Eyelash extensions are done for special events such as weddings, vacations, holidays, and gatherings.  They are also suitable for everday (it really depends on the individual).  The process of eyelash extensions involves bonding eyelashes (synthetic or human hair) to your own eyelashes with a special adhesive. Depending on the type of application, these lashes can typically stay on from 4 weeks to 3 months!

Pink Lady Lady

Description: Synthetic single lashes are applied painlessly, lash-by-lash, with a safe adhesive to your own lashes. The application consists of 50-60 lashes per eye.  They are shaped and polished like natural eyelashes, extremely light weight and feel as if they're your own eyelashes.  (The best part is that they are so natural looking that people can't tell from two feet away!)

Life Cycle:  From 6 to 8 weeks (depending on the life of your own lashes).
Process Time:  Anywhere from 90 - 120 minutes.

Scarlet Queen Lashes

Description:  Sterilized human hair make these lashes, composed of 4-6 lashes knotted together to form one single thick lash.  When applied, these lashes create a sexier, more dramatic and glamorous look.

Life Cycle:  Up to 4 weeks and up to 6 weeks (with refill).
Process Time:  Approximately 1 hour.
