JOICO pairs up with figure skater Joannie Rochette on her quest for Olympic Gold
JOICO, a leading international salon professional hair care brand, is proud to announce its sponsorship of Canadian figure skater Joannie Rochette. Rochette has just returned from Los Angeles where she won the
2009 World Championship Ladies Silver Medal. A huge victory and a step closer to her quest for Olympic Gold at the Vancouver Games in 2010.
“We are so proud of Joannie’s accomplishments and thrilled to support a great Canadian talent,” says JOICO Marketing Director Melisa Gill. “It is the perfect match. Both JOICO and figure skating pride themselves in their artistic and technical accomplishments.”
Rochette, a 23-year old Quebec native, has been skating since the age of 22 months. In the last few years she has honed her skills and artistry to capture some major titles, including: 5 straight wins at the Canadian Ladies Championships, silver medalist at the 2008 Four Continents Championship and gold medalist at the 2009 Trophée Eric Bompard Championship in Paris. With such accomplishments it is no wonder why Canadians will be tuning in to cheer Rochette on in Vancouver. And Rochette is excited for the opportunity.
“I am so happy to be working with JOICO. I have always loved using their hair products and now we get to team up together during my Olympic year,” says Rochette. “JOICO is going to give me that special added
touch as I prepare for the Vancouver Olympic Games!”
JOICO is dedicated to helping Rochette realize her Olympic dream by allowing her to focus on the monumental task ahead. In addition, JOICO has equipped her with a complete hair care regimen certain to add a little extra flare to her routine.
